Music
Hungarian folk music is a prominent part of the national identity and continues to play a major part in Hungarian music.
Franz Liszt
Hungary's most important contribution to the worldwide field of European classical music is probably Franz Liszt,[10[[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Music_of_Hungary#cite_note-Cotton-9|]]] a renowned pianist in his own time and a well-regarded composer of 19 Hungarian Rhapsodies and a number of symphonic poems such as Les préludes. Liszt was among the major composers during the late 19th century, a time when modern Hungarian classical music was in its formative stage

Food
The best-known ingredient in Hungarian food is the red-powdered spice called paprika. It is used to flavor many dishes. Other staples of Hungarian cooking include onions, cabbage, potatoes, noodles, and caraway seeds. Both cream and sour cream are used heavily in Hungarian food. Dumplings (dough wrapped around different kinds of fillings) are very popular as are cabbages or green peppers stuffed with meat and rice. Another favorite is the pancake called a palacsinta. It is often rolled or wrapped around different kinds of fillings.
